Milton teen arrested in Buckaroo's BBQ burglary
MILTON—Milton police have arrested a local teen in connection with one of two burglaries earlier this month at Buckaroo’s BBQ.
According to a news release from Milton police Lt. John Conger:
Police arrested Damian Rice, 17, 223 Vernal Ave., Milton today on one count of burglary. Rice is suspected to have been involved in a burglary at Buckaroo’s Barbecue sometime between Sept. 8 and Sept. 13.
Police said several bottles of liquor were stolen in that incident.
Buckaroo’s BBQ is located at 231 Front St. on the west side. Rice’s listed address is about seven blocks east of the restaurant.
Rice was being held at the Rock County Jail.
Police are still investigating a second burglary to the restaurant, which happened overnight on Sept. 15, police said. In that burglary, cash and liquor came up missing.
Authorities are offering a cash reward for tips that lead to an arrest in the second burglary. Police are asking anyone with information to call the Milton Police Department at 757-2244 or Janesville Area Crimestoppers at 756-3636.
