GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — The Green Bay Packers say all 1,000 tickets for Donald Driver’s retirement ceremony next week have been distributed.

Fans lined up outside Lambeau Field and stood for hours in frigid weather for a chance at tickets to the Feb. 6 event in the stadium atrium. The tickets were available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Packers’ ticket office Friday morning and were gone in a couple hours.

WLUK-TV reported some fans waited in line all night for the tickets. Each fan could get up to four tickets.

Sometimes having the 53rd best guy active isn't as important as a moment like that of a legend playing his last game at home. They should have dressed him against MN so he could properly say farewell.

allowing him to dress and not playing him in his last game as a packer, is what I found sad, they knew he was at the end of his career they should have at least thrown him a pass or to to say Thanks.

justsayn: I definitely wouldn't say they treated him like crap, he was falling down the depth chart behind some younger, very skilled receivers. He had a great run with the team and I'm glad he decided to retire now rather than stay too long.
I would say both DD and the organization handled it very professionally.
Treating him like crap would have been cutting him and severing all ties during the season.

A great loss to the Packers Driver was one of the best.
