Snow expected late tonight and Thursday
JANESVILLE The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for all of southern Wisconsin through Thursday midnight.
A mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain is expected to begin late tonight and will change to all snow by late morning Thursday, the weather service reported.
The band of the storm coming through Rock County is expected to bring 4 to 6 inches of snow.
In Walworth County, 6 to 8 inches of snow is expected, the weather service said.
Snow is expected to be heaviest between late Thursday morning through late Thursday afternoon. Visibility will be reduced turning the periods of heavier snowfall, and the rapid accumulation of snow
Thursday afternoon could cause dangerous driving conditions, the weather service said.
