SULLIVAN—The National Weather Service, Sullivan, has issued a winter weather advisory for snow and freezing rain, which is in effect until midnight Thursday.

Periods of light rain and light freezing rain will change to moderate snowfall this afternoon. The snow will last through the evening.

Snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are forecast for this afternoon and tonight with light ice accumulations possible this morning.

The wintry mix will lead to slippery roads and hazardous travel conditions.
