125 snow emergency parking tickets issued so far
JANESVILLE—Third shift Janesville police officers had already issued 125 snow emergency parking tickets as of 5 a.m. Friday.
“We’re right on pace with the last snowfall,” said Sgt. Aaron Ellis.
Second shift officers also issued a few such tickets Thursday and police believe many more tickets will be written today.
“Once plowing starts on residential streets, we’ll find a lot more cars they plowed around,” Ellis said.
The City of Janesville declared a snow emergency starting at 6 p.m. Thursday. This means all parked vehicles must be removed from city streets and public parking lots until snowplowing operations are complete.
