Grair, Phillips, advance in Delavan’s District 2

Samuel H. Riggs, III 36 DELAVAN Only 15 votes separated the first-place winner from third place and being eliminated from contention in the race for District 2 seat on the Delavan City Council.

Ronald Grair, 67, of 301 N. Seventh St., Delavan, and Christopher Phillips, 37, of 306 N. Fifth St., Delavan, will advance to the general election.

The candidates are running for the seat previously held by Bruce Dewitt, who recently moved out of the country. Dewitt had held the seat for more than 12 years.

The position was held by Dave Kilkenny, not Bruce DeWitt! Bruce is still on the council.
