Authorities identify man killed in Highway 11 crash
TOWN OF DARIEN The Walworth County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday identified the man killed in a Tuesday morning crash on Highway 11 west of Delavan.
Lake Geneva resident Carlos R. Cantu, 44, was killed when his pickup truck was hit by an oncoming semitrailer truck just after 11:20 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 11 near Old 89 Road, authorities said in a news release.
Snow on the road made Cantu lose control, according to the release, sending his eastbound truck into the westbound lane and the path of a milk hauler.
The crash closed a three-mile stretch of Highway 11, between Klug Road and Highway 14, for nearly four hours, the Sheriff's Office said.
The driver of the milk hauler was not injured.
Authorities said they do not anticipate any charges or citations as a result of the crash.
