2 wounded in Milwaukee shooting
MILWAUKEE (AP) — A man opened fire with an assault weapon on a group of people in Milwaukee, a day after the city’s police chief testified on Capitol Hill in support of an assault weapons ban.
The shootings happened just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday on a street on Milwaukee’s north side. That led to a police chase that ended when the suspect fled from his vehicle and was run down by a police dog.
Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn said two people were wounded in the shooting. Flynn told a news conference near the shooting scene that a man and a woman struck by gunfire were taken to a hospital.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Flynn said the suspect also was taken to a hospital, to be treated for dog bite wounds.

Hmm... the ATF did have a real assault rifle stolen from them while they were running their 3 Stooges sting operation in Milwaukee. Perhaps the Milwaukee Police Department has just recovered it.

Sure wish he would have shot himself. Now we will have to pay to support this ass in Jail for the rest of his life. Something wrong with this picture. Wish Wisconsin had death penalty for this reason you kill someone we kill you. Put an end to some of these tragedies and wasted tax dollars on these dead beats.

Seems that any weapon used in an assault, by default becomes an "assault" weapon.

I sure it was an assault STYLE weapon. Gets tiring that the term is used incorrectly so often. Automatic weapons are illegal to possess. Not that the person who did this is law abiding and not to discount the harm done.
