Man in custody after shooting at town of Beloit bar parking lot

TOWN OF BELOIT—Police have a man in custody following a shooting that injured three people in a parking lot at a town of Beloit gentleman’s club.

According to town of Beloit Police Sgt. Richard Felger, police have arrested a man in a shooting that just before 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the Silver Slipper Saloon and Gentleman’s Club, 1901 Wisconsin Ave., Beloit.

Silver Slipper Saloon was formerly the Bear Chest.

Felger said the shooting, which happened at bar time, left three people with gunshot wounds of “varying” severity.

Police have not released the identity of the suspect or the three people injured in the shooting, but Felger said the injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening.

The people shot apparently transported themselves to Beloit Memorial Hospital.

Police have not said if more than one shooter was involved, and the investigation is ongoing.

Felger said more information on the shooting is forthcoming.
