MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker says he’ll commit an additional $100,000 to help support Hispanic-owned businesses.

Walker says the money from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. would help expand the revolving loan fund at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. WEDC made an initial seed investment of $100,000 in 2012 to help establish the loan program.

Walker says the investment is part of a plan to support businesses and job growth.

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin creates, expands, and diversifies small and Hispanic-owned businesses, with a focus in the Milwaukee area.

Walker needs to do complete background checks to make extra sure these are true American citizens if your plan is to throw money at them.

I don't know where you have been for the last two years, but Walker has attended all the events that governors typically attend. Even the ceremony for the fallen police officers, an event that Barrett didn't bother to attend, as he was busy campaigning.

I'm staggered at the size of this commitment. Why, you could almost call it so small it's insulting.

why focus on milwaukee area ? should be the whole state of wisconsin. $100k is bread crumbs for a business. I so agree with this statement. Also his attending the MLK events is IMO his trying to save face with all the hate him and all his GOP have displayed through actions this past election.

vnvet7071 - I just get sick of reading about how we have a problem with something one week and then the next we are contributing to it. This happens with a couple different subjects, Bullying, racism,..etc. We seem to build our our foundations on problems and then complain about them later. Its a continual cycle. Its such a "normal" thing to most that most cant see it.

"Beware The False Walkergate Story!
There is, unfortunately, a false report being spread like wildfire about Scott Walker and five of his cronies being charged in the Walkergate investigation immediately after the recall election. This story should not be believed."

The story is by H. Nelson Goodson of Hispanic News Network USA:

This is racism. I thought we were all equal? Here we go again separating people by their race. Wow... and we wonder why racism never ends? Really? Special benefits for certain races is as racist as you get.
-
Racism is usually defined as views, practices and actions reflecting the belief that humanity is divided into distinct biological groups called races.
