Estranged husband of homicide victim found dead
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Madison police say the estranged husband of a homicide victim has been found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police searched the home of Bernard Grosso after 34-year-old Jennifer Boyce was found dead in an east side apartment. Boyce was due in court Friday to finalize a divorce from Grosso.
Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says the woman suffered multiple injuries and died Wednesday — a day before an apartment manager discovered her body. The Dane County medical examiner’s office says Boyce was killed with an edged weapon.
DeSpain says the body of her estranged husband was found when officers searched his house overnight. Police say the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
Relatives say Boyce was an epidemiologist who worked for the state Division of Public Health.
