JANESVILLE—More than 1,100 Alliant Energy customers have been without power since 5:15 Monday morning on the southwest side of Janesville.

“We had a broken insulator on a line,” said an Alliant spokeswoman.

The problem has been located at the Tripp Road substation and power should be restored by 7:30 a.m., she said.
