National Weather Service issues flash flood warnings
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of Rock and Jefferson counties.
Shortly after 7 a.m., radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms with heavy rainfall. One to two inches of rain has fallen in the last hour and another one to two inches are expected. At one point, radar indicated that an inch of rain was falling every 15 minutes in the Milton area.
Flooding is possible in downtown Janesville, Clinton, Milton, Darien, Sharon and Fort Atkinson, the weather service said.
Law enforcement in Rock and Walworth counties reported that water was covering several roads and that they are in the process of barricading them.
