State offers safety reminders for daylight saving
MADISON — It's almost time to spring forward, and Wisconsin officials are using the occasion to remind residents about home safety.
Daylight saving time begins Sunday, when we'll set our clocks ahead one hour. Safety officials say the event marks a convenient reminder to do annual checks.
For example, consider replacing the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. If you don't have an emergency kit at home, now's the time to get one. And if you do have one, put fresh batteries in the flashlight and make sure the food, water and first-aid kit are all in good condition.
The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs has additional safety tips on its website at readywisconsin.wi.gov.

I was a kid. It was either that or my dad dragging me out. The alarm was much easier.

I agree SuzQue. I think its time to leave the clocks alone. Some people say they used to do it for the farmers. When I was on the farm the only time I needed a clock was to wake up. We worked until the chores were done.

It needs to stay on Daylight Savings and not change!!!
The extra light at the end of the day, especially during winter
would be awesome!

The title of this article seems weird. I thought they might say don't trip on the way to the clock.

Don't forget to turn all of your light switches
on and off three times.
