Milton girls headed to state

MILTON The Milton High girls basketball team earned a trip to the first-ever WIAA state basketball tournament held at the Resch Center in Green Bay with a 62-51 victory over Monona Grove in a Division 2 sectional final game at Janesville Craig on Saturday night.

Morgan Blumer scored 26 points to lead the Red Hawks. Milton (19-7) plays Green Bay Notre Dame (20-6) in a Division 2 state semifinal game at 1:35 p.m. Friday.

This is acutally their 4th time in history making it to state. 92, 07, 11 and now!

My kids went to school in milton back in the 80's meaning I still have a following. I am really pleased to see these girls go to state for the first time in Milton history. It will be nice to see them go all the way to bring home the big trophy.
