Gov. Walker hopes to bolster China connection

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker hopes a trade mission he is leading to China will help expand markets for Wisconsin products in the world’s second-largest economy.

Walker will visit four cities in 10 days in April. He will meet with representatives from China’s agriculture, machinery, medical devices and clean energy industries.

Walker also hopes the mission will attract capital for Wisconsin businesses.

China is Wisconsin’s third-largest export market behind Canada and Mexico. The state moved more than $1.5 billion in exports to China last year.

The governor’s office doesn’t yet have an estimate on the trip’s public cost. Private companies are paying their own way.

This is Walker’s first trip to China. Former Gov. Jim Doyle led several trade missions to the country.

We may export $1.5B to China, but the media doesn't want to tell you how many billion$ more are imported to WI economy. Yep, let's keep supporting sweatshops and human rights violators. Now we know why middle class factory jobs are no longer in the USA.

Actually it has been said that he has a SuperPAC in China that is under-performing and he needs to give them a pep-talk......on our dime of course.

("it has been said" is the Fox News way of putting a rumor or a lie out into the public without being help accountable. Now we will see how it works going this way).

Are you listening 'concerned'. It is so we can build it, and China buys it! The opposite of what the usual concern is. At least that's what I take from this report. So the outrage is still against the idiot Doyle.

I expect the same people who were outraged about Doyle's trip to Spain to be outraged about Walker's trip here.
