'Airplane!' duo to unveil new Wisconsin tourism ad today
MADISON—The director and star of the 1980 comedy hit “Airplane!” are flying in to Wisconsin again.
David Zucker and Robert Hays will be in Madison on Monday to unveil a new TV spot promoting the state as a tourism destination. Their appearance coincides with a statewide conference on tourism.
Zucker directed the commercial last summer on Plum Lake in Sayner. Hays, best known as the pilot from the film hit, plays a befuddled fisherman in the ad.
It’s due to begin running in May in Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, eastern Iowa and Milwaukee.
Gov. Scott Walker and state lawmakers will take part in the three-day tourism conference.

janesvillean, don't fret. The GOP just realized today that they are totally out of touch. They will now scramble to find new lies.

Given Zucker's recent history as a GOP shill, one does wonder what the content of these ads will be.

dtb: attack my opinion as a rant? that's ok I will refer to your post as your opinion. I'm sure your mother is proud of you also. I hope you have the pleasure of her company as my mother died in 1976 at the tender age of 44 due to cancer. I'm 61 and there's no way you could have ever walked in my shoes then or now.
