Oxycodone theft similar to other area thefts

BELOIT—An oxycodone theft that happened Monday night at CVS pharmacy, 1063 Fourth St., is similar to other recent oxycodone thefts that have happened in Janesville, Madison and Rockford.

According to a Beloit Police Department news release: the incident was reported at 8:15 p.m. Monday when the thief was described as a while male, 5-foot-7 with a beard and mustache, blue eyes and wearing an orange winter jacket with its hood up, according to the release.

The thief handed a note to the pharmacist requesting oxycodone and after being given a small amount of the drug, fled the store on foot.

Information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.
