What do you like/dislike about state budget?
The Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee has made many changes in the state budget proposed months ago by Gov. Scott Walker.
Among the key changes were those to Walker’s planned income tax and school voucher expansion. The committee also proposed a freeze on tuition in the UW System.
The full Assembly and Senate will vote on the budget in the next week or two. With Republicans controlling the finance committee and likewise both legislative houses, the budget likely will sail to Gov. Walker’s desk with little or no change.
What do you like or dislike about the various budget provisions? What changes—if any—should the Assembly or Senate demand?
We’ll share some of our perspectives in our editorial Saturday.
