Braun deadline...extended

By TIM THOMPSON   Friday, February 10, 2012 - 10:34 a.m.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reported yesterday that the arbiter in Ryan Braun's appeal case won't be inhibited by the 25-day rule that I mentioned the other day.

The 25 days will be up on Sunday, but apparently that time frame is more of a guideline than a rule. In the most recent installment of Brew Crew Ball's Friday's Frosty Mug, Brewers blogger extraordinaire Kyle Lobner talks about the absurdity of having to wait more than five months for an answer.

I wholeheartedly agree. One would think that all the facts are in place and that a ruling can be made. However, if it's a more thorough thought process and more accurate verdict, then I'm all for an Adam Sandler-ish "medium pace" ruling. It is frustrating to wait so long for an answer, but I just try to keep focused and remember that NO ONE SHOULD KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS YET.

If any news breaks I will post at a time convenient to me! :) That's all for now, have a great weekend!
