The Top 5
The calendar has turned to June and the Major League Baseball is in full swing. Suddenly, each game carries a little more urgency as we head into the "dog days of summer."
I apologize for the lack of posts recently, but life has consumed me. The soon-to-be Mrs and I bought a small farm and are in the process of prepping to move. "The Bullpen" is enjoying his "Summer of George". With our minds occupied on real life I thought I'd take a minute and list my top-five favorite P&G posts. Follow along if you wish ...
Coming in at No. 5 is my ground-breaking post on The Real Braun PED Story. It was hilarious how the first couple people got the point of the post and yet, others couldn't and never did. (Don't forget to cast your 25 all-star votes for 2011 NL MVP Ryan Braun!)
No. 4 is my twitterview with Lukas Nelson. It was one of the rare times this blog has strayed away from baseball. Lukas wasn't long on words in the twitterview, but it gave me a reason to shake his hand after a subsequent concert. That also gave us the opportunity to hang out on Willie Nelson's old tour bus, the "Honeysuckle Rose III". As a treat we took Lukas and the band some Wisconsin smoked cheddar and fresh cheese curds! That was an amazing experience.
Continuing the list at No. 3, we have The Bullpen's entry commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It was brilliant and better than pretty much everything I've ever done.
My second favorite post is the "Fan List". Not a lot of thought went into that one -- the "list" was made up mostly of new and random thoughts we came up with in about two minutes. There was never an intent to offend anyone, but the descriptions just sort of worked.
My favorite post is also the one for which I have received the most feedback from others: my "Ballpark on a Budget" post. I've had several people thank me for informing them of the various ways to save money. I'm no Clark Howard, but I'm always happy to help ya save a buck!
Anyway, thanks for reading, be patient, and we shall return!

Have you ever done one just on tailgating? Quite literally my favorite part of going to Miller Park.
.
I especially love seeing what other people toss on the grill. We parked next to Friendly Illinois BuddieS one time and they had some elaborate choices. They were nice enough to let me try one and it was crazy good: a jalapeno stuffed with pepper jack cheese, wrapped in bacon, dunked in BBQ sauce and grilled until the jalapeno contained molten goodness.
.
I also like seeing the vast differences in how people set up shop. Some are very minimalistic while others set up their own fortress of a tailgating experience; almost like a small village.
.
Bags seems to be a staple of tailgating, but also I seem to see some new (to me at least) backyard game.
.
And my favorite part: unbelievable people watching throughout the tailgating experience.

Tim – My two favorites were The Real Braun PED Story and Live Blog via Twitter for the Ride To Wrigley
.
The Braun story was both in depth and ground breaking at the same time. A great read and thorough analysis.
.
The Wrigley entry had a poor ending, but made for an interesting story. I am heading down on the train Sunday night to catch Cubs/Red Sox for my first ever night game at Wrigley. Look for us in Bartman territory. I’ll be wearing my Cubs hat, headphones, a blue sweatshirt, and glasses…just kidding. I am pretty excited for the game regardless of how bad my Cubbies are this year.
