NO CALL LIST Deadline TODAY
NO CALL LIST Deadline TODAY!
I again signed up my home land-line as well as our cell phones again to be very sure we are PROTECTED by our WI NO CALL LIST! Did YOU sign up too?
I confess, I sign-up every time there is a sign-up period to be POSITIVE that we are protected.
IF you want to get the details to call the toll-free phone OR to sign-up online, use this link to the Wisconsin No Call List homepage.
IF you get what YOU think is an ILLEGAL CALL, be sure to get information needed to file a complaint. There are reasonable penalities for such an ILLEGAL CALL.
The feature, "Stop Telemarketers from Bugging You" on this website is very practical and helpful. Read it so YOU are able to avoid the TELEMARKETERS' BUGGING!
I do wish our WI NO CALL list were STRONGER! WHY are we NOT able to get rid of the stupid ROBO-CALLS? WHY are we NOT able to get rid of the OFFENSIVE POLITICAL CALLS? Would YOU support getting ride of these calls? What other CALLS would you like to have prohibited?
I URGE you to sign-up for our WI NO CALL LIST TODAY so YOU do have at least the protection possible NOW. ALERT! Sign-up today becomes effective on October 1.
The SIGN-UP deadlines for the NO CALL LIST are: September 1 to be effective October 1. December 1 to be effective January 1. March 1 to be effective April 1. June 1 to be effective July 1.
Once YOU are on the NO CALL LIST, your listing is suppose to be in force for 2 years. WHO remembers for 2 years? So, I choose to regularly LIST MY PHONE NUMBERS to BE SURE I am on THE VALUABLE WI NO CALL LIST.
Here we go...

The list is A JOKE.
I signed up many times, and I STILL get these clowns calling me. So what I do now is answer the call. They ask for me, and I say..."HOLD PLEASE"..I'll put the phone down, and come back every 10 minutes or so, and say "One moment please". Believe it or not some of these morons will stay on the line for 30 minutes or better! Figure if they are going to waste my time, I'll waste theirs.

The secret to reducing or eliminating these calls is to only use a cell phone or VOIP. I have received only one call on my cell and none on my Vonage line.

I stopped reading his editorial because of the caps. If there are a few of them, I will read. This guy needs to listen to the majority who are annoyed by those caps but then again he is an educator and thinks he can do no wrong.

This list is bogus... the Wisconsin Proffesional fire fighters still call you and beg for money. They must be exempt from using the list.

Dear Mr. E.
Between your capitals, exclamation marks and your seemingly epic passion for writing, all I can picture in my head is you getting buck-wild at your keyboard, yelling at your monitor as thoughts go through that brain of yours. Flailing around in your office with arms and papers flying everywhere as if a tornado had struck your desk. All the meanwhile, wondering where you put the number for the computer repair place because the caps lock key is not only warn to a nub, but also tried to escape on numerous occasions due to abuse. My advice to you, sir...Try Decaf and get more sleep.
Regards,
Weeds

Uh-oh, I actually agree with Eyster on something. I’d better head in for a mental health evaluation after the holiday . . .
“Do Not Call” should not expire, it should last until you cancel it – in other words, forever. It should be all-encompassing, with absolutely *no* exceptions. No charities, no politicians, no “special” people, nobody. And robo-calls should be banned, period. I would love to see data that shows a robo-call influenced anyone’s opinion, other than inspiring them to hate the idiot who sponsored the call.
Ideally, it shouldn’t even be an opt-out system, it should require you to opt-in with a “Do Call” list. Everyone who decides to opt-in would fully and richly deserve every call they get from siding contractors, benevolent associations, political hacks, etc etc etc. Sadly, that’s too much to hope for.
