President Obama added to King Memorial Dedication Program TODAY

President Obama added to King Memorial Dedication Program TODAY

I had wondered WHY our US President Barack Obama, first “black” President in US history, was NOT participating in the dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. EARLY THIS MORNING, reading the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel online, I read Brett Zongker’s AP report that the PRESIDENT will participate today.

If you want to read that AP report, use this link, “President Obama, Aretha Franklin to dedicate Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on National Mall”

Was this very late announcement due to SECURITY concerns? I wonder.

I am planning to be watching this very significant national dedication event either on the live webcast or one of the TV sources starting at 7 am OUR time. (THANKS again to reader “jll475” for correcting my time calculation in my blog post yesterday!) Are YOU going to watch?

Yesterday I posted on my WE THE PEOPLE blog the information about today’s dedication celebration and program of the MLK Jr. Memorial. If you want to read more details and take advantage of numerous informative links, use this link, “Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Dedication TOMORROW.”

Here we go…

wislady, do you even partially, just a teeny weeny bit, begin to understand the import of that article you just pasted? Do you understand what it is saying and the impact it has on the actual content provided by the site? Does it CHANGE the outcome of any of their conclusions? NO. Was it right for the writer to not credit sources? NO. Does it change anything? NO, except for the career of the writer who failed to credit others for their work. It in no way discredits the work of others that was cited.

I seriously wonder about you, wislady. Do you actually read these things and comprehend them before posting them? Or do just throw up links that have headlines that kind of sound like they support your position and then wait for the truth to hit you like a ton of bricks?

I guess that I can attribute it to Michael Moore making the movie "Roger and Me".
But that was about Roger Smith,
not Roger Moore.

Wow, you now share Denzel's political liberal views. Must have been some epiphany during the MLK ceremony, eh?

I don't like the politics of Obama, never met him.

I have stated that MLK was a great man, however, he is not a saint.

I don't listen to much music being hearing impaired, but I do not like rap.

I love Denzel Washington, watch every movie he is in, but do share his political liberal views.

Interesting that negative aspects of King's life have been able to be hidden, probably because anyone speaking out would be accused of racism. Obviously, MLK was not a saint.

The King Holiday and Its Meaning

http://www.martinlutherking.org/articles...

(from the article).....

Charles D. Brennan, retired Assistant Director of the FBI, stated that he had personally been involved in the FBI surveillance of King and knew from first-hand observation the truth about King's sexual conduct --- conduct that Mr. Brennan characterized as "orgiastic and adulterous escapades, some of which indicated that King could be bestial in his sexual abuse of women."

Did you even read the article from PolitiFact, wislady? I know the article is about 30 paragraphs longer than your usual two sentence reading material, but it would make it clear (at least to a person capable of reasoning) that the disagreement is between you and every reasoning person.

Too bad the family of this great American required payment, via licensing rights, to have this memorial erected in our nations capitol.
