JOE KNILANS has resurfaced! Where in the world WAS Joe Knilans?

By JOHN EYSTER   Wednesday, October 10, 2012 - 5:03 a.m.

JOE KNILANS has resurfaced! Where in the world WAS Joe Knilans? Rest of the story? The Janesville League of Women Voters announced that the debate originally scheduled on October 2 which Joe Knilans cancelled with an announcement of 1 or more campaign-related events through his campaign manager will be held next MONDAY, OCTOBER 15 - THE IDES OF OCTOBER (Beware!) - at 7:30 pm! GOOD NEWS for WE THE PEOPLE of the 44th Assembly District!

For more follow-up information, read Catherine W. Idzerda's article, "Knilans-Kolste debate rescheduled" published on page 3A of today's (10/10/2012) Janesville Gazette. (I am NOT allowed to provide a link.)

Be sure to note that the arrangement is the SAME as had been set-up for the cancelled forum on Oct. 2. CO-SPONSORS are the Janesville League of Women Voters, FORWARD JANESVILLE (Alert to those who commented about political identities of co-sponsors!) and JATV. The debate will be in the PROGRAM ROOM of the Janesville Hedberg Public Library.

I am among those who still want to know "THE REST OF THE STORY," JOE? What was really the reason for the cancellation of the October 2 debate date which your campaign had confirmed in August?

I asserted that YOU needed to clarify the situation in my WE THE PEOPLE blog post on October 4, "Where in the world is JOE KNILANS?"

YOU REALLY do NEED to provide information to clarify the clearly confused response of your campaign manager Tyler Wenzlaff which was reported by Jim Leute in his article, "Knilans camp mum on debate details" published on front page of the Janesville Gazette on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. WHY did Tyler or you not call back, as promised by Tyler, to clarify the situation, Joe? Come on, as an elected state rep, YOU are responsible to your constituents! So, what is the rest of the story, Joe Knilans?

I do hope that this NO SHOW disease is NOT contagious to infect US House District #1 Rep. Paul Ryan! So far as I have heard this morning, the Vice-presidential Debate is still GO tomorrow night! Hopeful and optimistic!

Now to watch for the debates between DEB KOLSTE and YOU, JOE KNILANS both on Monday, October 15 @7:30 pm and on WCLO Radio's "YOUR TALK SHOW" (1230 am) on Monday, October 29 @10 am.

Here we go...

Nothing to be AfRaId of JOE! They are doing a re-make of a Republican movie and have a big part for you. Usual song & dance movie and we saw it during Bush years. War and bad economy, but now we send you off to outer space Joe.

The state journal endorses no show joe. WOW what a surprise a conservative newspaper endorses a conservative. You have really have me thinking now wislady. Next you will be telling me that the gazette will endorse him and I will be crushed, because I will know if they endorse a conservative, the race is over.

Sadly though- Knilans called himself a " tool" while pandering to several Right Wing constituents on the " As Goes Janesville" Documentary. In my opinion, someone who professes that way only votes for the wishes of a few not for the wishes of all. He lost my vote in that simple statement. Sycophantish at best.

Our state is headed in the right direction for the first time in a long time. Don't think so? Visit Illinois. They are running the democrat play book step by step. How's that working out for them? Knilans and crew have us on a good path.

Nice to see the State Journal endorse Knilans.

State Journal endorsements: Vote for a better Legislature

DISTRICT 44

"Joe Knilans is just getting started as a state lawmaker representing Janesville and deserves a second two-year term. Having worked at the GM plant before it closed, and having gone back to school to find new employment, Knilans brings more urgency and attention to the dire need for more jobs in Rock County. His opponent, Democrat Debra Kolste, has served on the school board. She’s a medical technologist who is capable and smart. But in this economy, Knilans’ priorities are a better fit for the district."

rtabb.....You don't remember Mr. Eyster "as being so radical" because professional educators have the obligation not to demonstrate their political preferences within the school setting. Mr. Eyster's political views expressed outside of the classroom are simply an expressiion of his 1st Amendment rights.

Interesting, "rtabb" - I think you have either the wrong teacher OR the wrong course. I myself never ever taught AP US History. I did teach AP US Government & Politics. So, which is the CORRECT ID? I would be interested. I am not quite sure why you are "ashamed." Is it NOT appropriate to expect a person running to be a REP of the electorate in Janesville to participate in a strong public debate/forum with her/his opponent? What is YOUR clarification? Here we go... John W. Eyster

Rick_Raff - I see you are staying right on subject. I don't think anyone of your your radical right wing position should talk about useless deaths. When you consider the marines lost in Lebanon, by your hero ronnie raygun. When we cut and run. Oh don't forget all the warriors and innocent Iraqis that were killed while we looked for non existent WMDs. The question remains where was no show Joe?

Why would men even vote for her? She is not a hometown product, came her from Nebraska, and to make fun of Mr Knillan because he had to live in a basement is pretty rotten. She is strictly for women.

You have way too much time on your hand. Very few people care where Joe knilans was. The debate has been rescheduled. I know you were trying to be cute with your take off on the today show theme. However enough is enough. We all know you are going to vote for Deb Kolste

Man! A lot of these posters are willing to argue and tell people off, but don't discuss the fact that Joe K. waited to the last minute to cancel his participation in a debate about his job role. It looks evasive, and like he is not taking the process seriously. I'm glad he changed his mind, and I wish Deb Kolste good luck.

Wow eyester, ever hear the story about people living in stone house?????? If not you might want to some some real research and not the one sided research the you always do! You feel the need to know every aspect of a politicians life even their personal life. How about revealing some aspects of your personal live such as how much a pseudo teacher sponges off of taxpayers by collecting a pension and claiming to teach in Waukesha! Come on eyster that's double dipping on the taxpayers and that should be illegal!

What's even sadder is you won't respond to legitimate questions put to you, which just shows how narrow minded and one sided you really are! I feel sorry for your students as they are clearly not getting a true education from a pseudo teacher, which one of your former students has repeatedly called you out on in your own blogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't wait until the VP debate as well. What a bloodbath this is going to be. Ryan will mop the floor with Biden. As for Knilans, if 'campaign related events' is not clear enough for you, then you have bigger issues than your capitalization fetish. You keep riding that 'hopeful and optimistic' train while the rest of us concentrate on moving our State and Country forward.

I still don't understand why Mr. Eyster, who is "an advocate for democracy/civics education", has not done a blog on the disenfranchisement of our military.

This is a national story, yet somehow the Knilans/Kolste debate is more important?
